For centuries, racism has become the universal epitome of culture, despite the efforts of various civilizations, such as the Western and European to combat these indifferences among people. A race is specific social group that can be differentiated through various ways, from facial features and hair textures, to social norms and habits that constitutes to that group. These differences contribute to our uniqueness and humanity. Because people can be grouped by any number of differences, Man, lead by his ignorance, perpetuated the issue once social-hierarchies began to develop, splitting society to its various groups. As a result, social disparity from one’s upbringing became the common tendency to look down, or look up at people of other†¦show more content†¦Lacking financial assistance and exposed to the early onset of abuse by his father, Bragg realized that there was a strict line, which drew improvised rural White Southerners and their counterparts as unequal. The conception eventually influenced the phrase â€Å"White Trash,† a derogative term that described the poor whites living in the United States with a degraded standard way of living. This attack on moral failings eventually became a part of Bragg. Later in his memoir, Rick provides his account where a wealthy fraternity at Jacksonville State throws a celebration for the children of poor families. Initially, Rick extends his gratitude for their kindness but he has trouble relating with the fraternity. Rick describes them as affluent people not â€Å"rich by Manhattan standards, but Possum trot ones,† because poverty was what he was accustomed to (Bragg 97). He finds himself embarrassed and bitter at the ignorance of the careless individuals who live with their backs turned to society. The significance of this is that Bragg wished to capture of essence of the â€Å"degree of meanness, degrees of hatred, and of ignorance,† that plagued the world (Bragg 62). Just li ke him, thousands of citizens in United State experience prejudice and social disparity at least once in their lifetime. Nurses becoming more socially aware of LGBT elderly individuals can greatly affect the quality of life of the entire LGBT population. When discussing about LGBT individual, most people don’t consider the elderly population. A lot will focus on LGBT youth and not a lot on the older individuals who have paved the road for LGBT youth to experience a better quality of life than they did. It’s unfortunate that the elderly population is forgotten about in general and in LGBT circles. Mrs.Birling however keeps on all of her clothes and jewellry to represent her ingnorance and arrogance to the situation, even now she has been made aware that she helped towards Eva Smiths demise she still thinks that she was right in using her authority because of her pride to turn Eva Smith away. When talking of what she had done Mrs. Birling tends to use words such as naturally and simply as if there was absolutly no wrong in what she had done at all. simply a piece of gross impertinance naturally that was one of the things that prejudiced me against her case. The structure of the play is set out as a whodunnit with one line of enquiery at a time. One line of enquiery at a time. Otherwise well all be talking at once and wont know were we are. This is done so that there is no confusion with the messages being conveyed. This whodunnit structure has been tapered with, as usually at the end you know who did it, and why, but at the end of this play there is no specific culprit, and nobody murdered anybody because Eva Smith commited suicide. Priestly wanted you to have full understanding of the characters, so to help convey what each character was learning there are no intervals, just as in real life you would not be able to break and forget about whats happening for half an hour then go back to life, Priestly wants to show this is in real time as its happening, just like life. have. And from this play it would seem that if I had any of these diseases, that trouble would surely come my way.
